you need to charge VAT for EU customers, the EU VAT rules are available on the net. and as the Finnish VAT is 22% you loose a bit of an edge there...

But not for EU customers that are VAT-registered I think. So long as you include their VAT number on your invoice.Pursuivant wrote:you need to charge VAT for EU customers

Well, I contacted the TE-Keskus some 3 or 4 days ago asking them whether I could speak with a startup advisor, but have not heard from them yet. I do hope they will contact me soon, and I assume someone there should be able to address me in English?

I highly recommend Jari Parkkonen as a competent bookkepper with very reasonable fees with excellent English skills.

Agree with Jason.
Jari's been my accountant for the past 4 years and he's done an excellent job.
Only got money back from taxes, so

Well, I got the book from the local library and am looking into it now.
I also went to the TE-Keskus myself since I did not receive any reply from them, and they referred me on to Kehitys Oy. So I contacted them recently to make some sort of appointment, but no reply from them yet either.
I did find the necessary forms online to register a toiminimi (from the prh.fi site) but I really would need someone who knows all the ropes to go over it with me, so I do hope they will contact me soon so that I can get this started.
Thanks Jason for the information on the accountant, I will certainly keep it in mind.
