Are you looking for a nanny in Helsinki, Vantaa or Espoo?

Post by englishnanny » Thu Apr 02, 2009 8:37 pm

Dear Family,

My name is Amy, I am 21, from England, and have recently moved to Vantaa with my partner, who is a Finnish National. I have a lot of experience of caring for children, both in school and home environment. I have worked with children for several years now in various roles, including as a nanny, an arts and crafts teacher, a playgroup assistant, classroom assistant, poetry teacher, tutor, babysitter, boarding school matron or house mother, specialist school activity worker and caring for the many children in my own family. I hope to eventually become a teacher, but would first like to build my childcare experience and learn Finnish.

I am happy to care for children of all ages and I would like to meet a nice family with whom I can form a happy relationship. I like to keep busy and am easygoing, friendly and positive. I am happy to come to your home for an interview and to meet your family. I do not drive and am just beginning to learn basic Finnish. I like pets and am happy to do household chores and errands. I know a family here in Vantaa who have two children and you could speak with them (the parents) if you would like another perspective on me as a person and how I am with children. I have a first class degree in Literature and Writing.

Warm Regards,

Amy

Dear Amy,

We are looking for a part-time nanny for our daughter (1 year 6 months) for 2-4 afternoons a week.
We are looking for someone who could pick her up from daycare center and feed her etc. before we come from work. We have flexible working hours, so nanny's working hours could be separately agreed. We would also like if the nanny could look after our daughter sometimes (maybe once or twice a month) in the evening so that we could go for a dinner or so.

We are both Finnish, but we are interested in putting our daughter to English daycare center when she is a bit older. An English speaking nanny would be a great way for her to learn some English in advance.
We live in Taka-Töölö.

Please give us your contact details if you're interested in discussing more.

Kind Regards

Päivi ja Jyri

Hello - trying to minimize new threads and build on the topic ...

Yes! We are looking for a nanny, full time or part time, or nanny share, in the southern Helsinki area for our 9-month old. At time you may need to also take care of our 3-year old, but she is normally in school.

Ideally with experience, and creative and able to stick to a feed/nap schedule. English language preferred (we are Dutch, but the kids were born in the US), but we are open to other languages as well, as long as you have a loving and caring nature, and a passion for children!

If you are available, or you might know someone, please email [email protected]

Kiitos,
Jessica

Hi all,

I am interested in working as a nanny (preferably full time) and since I've noticed there's so much demand and only one nanny available, I've decided to offer my services on this thread. I have quite a lot of experience working with children, mostly over 2 years old, but since I got here I've also worked with babies. I speak English, French and Italian, a bit of German and Spanish. My Finnish is a bit chaotic, but I am studying diligently.

Please feel free to PM or email in case you need a nanny or even for babysitting.

Thank you,

Alina
