The magic word is uusyrityskeskus. There is one in practically every town (over 80 serving places), and their services are free. They know the answers, you just have to find out which one is nearest. Then check if there is somebody who knows enough English. Then find the nearest uusyrityskeskus where somebody does.

Hi My name is Paul , I just joined this forum a couple of days ago,
Well I myself feels the need to open a shop in Finland as well. But
for I have decided to put that plan on hold for some other things.

I saw you mentioned jewelry and India as well. I just wanted to
know if you have any intention of making your custom designs
or you wish to buy already made designs. The reason why
I am asking this question is that I am in the Jewelry business
myself. If your answer is Yes to any of these questions, then
I think we could be of mutual help to one another. I am mainly
in the business of selling Precious stones and semi precious
materials which I source myself directly from the mines (Not
like those guys in Jiapur or Mumbai). I am not based in finland
anyways but in the U.S, recently i have been exploring other
markets in Asia but the economic recession has had a hard
bite on almost everything.

Please feel free to contact me via email at

[email protected] then

we could talk further and I could show you some

of my stones which are very affordable.

you need to have a tukku license => means, you need to have a company to get it ( Not heard of any TMi get it..) and generally an Oy is recommended.
Then you need storage space for your goods as port charges will be exorbitant...
then you need transportation to move these things around..
Shop will need rental space and display items etc etc..
for which you will need some money ( €2500 for an Oy, and a whole lot of capital..) Uusyritys or TE-Keskus will help with startiraha UPTO €2500 per month for a max of 6 months depending on your business plan ..and your expected profitable time period..and your eligibility..
