I am German female person and I am looking for a job in Finland. I would like to move to Finland and work there. My friend is Finnish and I would like to live with him. He lives nearly Seinäjoki. And now I would like to work in Seinäjoki or surrounding. I worked as a secretary in a lawyer office, I worked also in the public sector as secretary. At the moment I work at the University of Dusseldorf as secretary. I speak German, English and also Finnish, but not very good. I have been learning Finnish for several years and I do it also now. My friend trys to help me. I have also knowledges in EDV, MS Office-programmes. I can make also other work in the first time. This is not the problem. But I hope to find next time a job in Finland, so that I can move to my friend.
It is difficult the whole time, if we are separated.
Toivon, ehkä täällä on mahdollisuus löyttää työtä Suomessa pian. Ole hyvää, auttaa minua! Kiitos!

Re: Job in Finnland
Here's a secretary job in Seinäjoki where they want someone who speaks German fluently and also speaks some english. I'm pretty sure that they will want you to speak Finnish fluently though.

That is so Finnish attitude: "move to new place, get a new job, live your life happily till death do us part, the end", unfortunately that is not the reality anymore.forest_girl wrote:Im not sure if you would like to live in a such for the rest of your life.

Re: Job in Finnland
Jobs are in high demand in Finland so they may not last long on MOL.fi. Here's a secretary job in Kuortane (about 35 kilometers east of Seinäjoki). Unfortunately, they don't need German or English in their office. It won't hurt to try though.

Re: Job in Finnland
I think it could be possible! I don't wear any pink glasses I know that it isn't simple, but when I haven't tried it, I could think every "rest" day in my life, why I didn't try it.Upphew wrote:That is so Finnish attitude: "move to new place, get a new job, live your life happily till death do us part, the end", unfortunately that is not the reality anymore.forest_girl wrote:Im not sure if you would like to live in a such for the rest of your life.
I know Seinäjoki and I know it is a little town, but I think I can manage it.
If my friend would get a job in Germany he would come to me immediately. That is sure. But he is a "talonrakentaja". Could you imagine, how difficult it is to get with this job a job in Germany. And he is foreigner! Already we are looking for a job in Germany, but ...??? And I am interested in the way of finnish life!
Re: Job in Finnland
And I would like to say thank you for your help! And please help me furthermore. I would like to try this way and if it succeed I will report it here in this forum.

Re: Job in Finnland
So don't forget, you are a foreigner in Finland too... I don't really know which is simplier..talonrakentaja in Germany or sihteeri in Fianland, especially the place near Seinajoki or in it. But try it out, maybe you get lucky. But I would suggest getting to Finland ONLY when you have the job or at least job interview already...because in another way you may waste a lot of time and money.
