Book keeping

Post by Inese » Fri Jul 24, 2009 12:57 pm

Hello,

I have opened a toiminimi and looking for information how to arrange book keeping, what are tasks to be done by law and so on. Can anyone advice any book, program where to find information, how it works.
Maybe you can suggest also a book keeper in Tampere region??

Thanks!

Inese

This thread might be useful:

viewtopic.php?f=37&t=2432

(and there are some others on here too, try plugging bookkeeping into the search function)

and then I recommend you borrow "Establishing and Doing Business in FInland" by Tuulikki Holopainen from your local library.

Basically for a toiminimi your bookkeeping is cash based, so fairly easy. If your annual income is likely to exceed 8500e you must register for VAT (the book I mentioned explains it all).

Also, it might be worth checking the Municipal offices in Tampere (or their webiste) and getting some advice (eg from TE-Keskus) as they occasionally run courses for foreigners.

viewtopic.php?f=37&t=38454 is a better suggestion.

I still do my own book keeping, its not too difficult (I studied accounting, though). You can get good information from Ensimetri here in Tampere: http://www.ensimetri.fi/
