Little finnish spellcheck help please :)

Post by Kirmann » Thu Jan 07, 2010 1:35 pm

Hello all!

Just moved to finland and are about to start sending my cv´s to everywhere i can, looking for just basic jobs at the moment since i speak only little finnish. i have made a small simple letter using my little knowlege and google translation :D maybe someone is kind enough to help me correct it so i dont look too stupid, Any help would be most appreciated- beers are on me if i succeed :P

Hei,

In english too:

Hello,

Your employee recommended me to contact you since i am looking for a job. I am enthusiatic, hard working, decent(correct, tidy) young man and i would like to start working for you. Since I am accustomed to stressful work environment and long hours and used to work for high standards, i belive i am a good candidate.
My finnish is not very good bud i can manage. My CV is attached to this email, if there is any question please do not hesitate to contact me via phone or email.

Sincerely,
Reimo Kirmann

That sentence is right, the rest isn´t. You could just put that in the beginning, and then follow with the English text. If you send a letter is Finnish (with no mistakes), it will just give a wrong impression. They will assume that you speak Finnish. That one sentence could help to catch their attention, but do the rest in English.
