thats good you have finnish skills....miten hyvin puhut sä suomea? well, what type of nursing degree is that..lähihoitaja or sairaanhoitaja? coming to finland to work as a nurse you need to convert your degree to a finnish level one...well, i am studying to be a nurse, registered nurse, here in finland and soon finish..osaan erinommaista suomea mutta olen työtön vielä.. en ole saanut osaaikatöitä mitään ...so do your work well and see the necessary courses you need to retake inorder to reach the finnish level...but good luck...can check stuff from..valvira.fi, oph.fi to know how best to go about everything..safe and all the best of luck

As said earlier, you need to transfer your degree to Valvira. Not automatic you will get RN recognition. then even with basic Finnish you will find it very very hard to find work.

Patrick, have you ever done keikka? When are you graduating?

havent yet done......really surprising..i have finnish language dipoma certificate from työvoimakoulutus but was basic finnish and now taking the advance finnish on my own whilst studying nursing ..graduating in next year..i live in small town..you know-nowheremäki- but moving soon to big city after studies maybe to helsinki to try my luck...also about to take the yleistutkinto-keski-tasosuomen kieli.... just now trying to see what happens...but believe my place of residence doesnt facilitate securing work....what about your situation? are yu working already?

I graduated in 2009 (should have graduated in 2007 really but I postponed my graduation to have my baby). I have been working for more than 2 years now but not as a RN, I work in a preschool as a teacher. So no RN work at all since graduation...
