Part-time computer job in Downtown Helsinki

Hi,

I am an American living in Stockholm. I have been working in Helsinki on-and-off over the past 2 years on a big contract job that I have there. Lately the work in Helsinki is coming a little more frequently and I can't keep up with it all the time. I need someone to work freelance occasionally when I am unable to make it over there.

Have you ever worked with computer servers? Are you good at trouble-shooting? Are you interested in a part-time job, where you decide what hours to work? It would be only between 10 and 50 hours a month, depending on a number of factors.

The work is doing server maintenance or "Hands and Eyes". This is a good opportunity to get started in IT or just to pick-up some side work on occasion. The worksite is in Central Helsinki. No Finnish is necessary, but it can be helpful.

Just to clarify, this job requires that you be located in Helsinki, or nearby. Many of the assignments are only 1-2 hours long, and not worth traveling across the country. You will need a laptop and a cell phone along with a small tool-kit of screwdrivers and such, but nothing you can't find at Clas Ohlson downtown if the need for different tools comes up.

You must also be allowed to work within Finland. You may need to set up a company to do freelance work under as well, so any experience with that is helpful.

If you have a car, that also can be a great help, as sometimes deliveries to Vaanta are required.
