Buying products without alv
Buying products without alv
I live in Finland and Im thinking about starting a business in Finland and my idea is to sell products to foreign countries outside EU. I heard that I dont have to take care of alv when selling to a country outside EU and also I was told that when buying products in Finland I can buy them without the alv? is this true or is it that I can deduct it afterwards in tax? For example how does it work when buying products from a wholesaler tukku? Is it enough to show the business id to the wholesaler?

Nope, you pay the VAT and then deduct it unless you are registered with the tax office. And then to prove that the items left the EU. Figure that one out:

Even when registered with the tax office you must pay the VAT for purchases in Finland and the tax office will return it to you monthly if everything is exported outside the EU Vat area (different from the EU itself):Pursuivant wrote:Nope, you pay the VAT and then deduct it unless you are registered with the tax office.
