URGENT !!! can i work as self employe and sponsor myown visa

HI ,

I am working as consultant and on Work Permit which is sponsored out side Finland company (but working under contract company name to my client side from Finland ) and will get next 1 year Work permit

Now i am going to giving interview for company as consultant but they don't want to sponsor Visa but need some one who have Visa so need you help / Advice / Information whichever can help

1. after contract can i register my self as self-employed and sponsor my own visa (where to do that which office )
2. Or i have to open a registered company and then sponsor my visa
3. Is there any company / farm / organisation who can help me to get this the contract sponsor visa and i can pay them required fee

Please suggest every suggestion is valuable

Visa is for visiting (up to three months), residence permit is for residing.

1. Self employed res-permit seems to fit.
Showing your past work history and your future contract agreements might be enough to get the self employed res-permit.

2.you could start your own Oy company and ask for a employment res-permit. The new company having no history ,but you would have a work contract agreement with the 1st company.

3. My guess is the 1st company is only hiring sub contractors(no employees). May the 1st company has already sacked employees in the past and cannot employ new employees without offering work to old employees.WHatever the reason , i think what they are really saying to you(but maybe you dont understand) is they they are not employing workers , but only offering sub contractors work. So that means they cannot fill out the employment res-permit forms that are required by an Employer.

You must be very careful, as a self-employed person - you might not legally work for the single customer only. You should not just go away from the taxes (for both - you and the employer).

- what could be the down side of both company and employee

- Also in taxation how i can save my self not to get paid extra

- Is there any company in Finland who could take care of my documentation and taxation to make it legalized

Try contacting www.intofinland.fi and either email them your enquiry or visit their office in Helsinki. They can give both KELA and Vero advice.

Alternatively you could use www.eazy.fi

and www.intofinland.fi i had been there long back with no help but let me visit again in new year , might that can help me

Simplest way and most straight is to get "real contract of intent " that's legally binding between your "skill" and a "company thats registered here" that shows the need for you to "do business here".

Apply for self employed res-permit(you can apply now i guess its normal).

Essentially , Eazy.fi is only a way to pay your mandatory contributions and receive the remainder of the money as salary.
They are no good if-
1. you dont have a right to work in Finland
2. dont have a right to work in a specific field of employment in finland.

If your an EU citizen then you can use Eazy without care of 1. & 2.
If your non EU then you have to consider 1. & 2. as the basis to be a legal entity.

Eazy is simply a rent-a-ofice which takes care of employer/employee obligations (for a fee).

I dont even see how someone can say that these type of services are good or bad.
You can say-
they are too expensive.
they are cheap.
some workers in the company messed up my paperwork.
the workers in that office are great.
they have hidden costs.
they dont have hidden costs.
