If you do your thesis there, it is schoolwork and that you can do full-time. At least I would interpret it that way.

Yep there's an explicit allowance in the Act for full time thesis work:

Under contract law you can work under a "performance" , payment system. doesnt have any hrs attached to it. IT is take home flexi time type of business.
