Hi,
I have a Permanent Resident Permit in Finland. Now, I am not much interested in the current job ( part time) and wanted to resign it and look for the new job ( possibly job related to my study field). Do I lose my resident permit, if I do like that? I do have some savings and my wife work full time so that there will not be much effect on my financial situation because of this decision for few months. However, I just wanted to change the job.
Do you have any ideas and best suggestions??
Thanks

Every case is unique. You can't measure the result of your application based on arbitrary anecdotes online.

A permanent permit is never cancelled if you resign a job.Beep_Boop wrote:Not necessarily, no.infoseeker wrote:Do I lose my resident permit, if I do like that?s

Given the job market, or just a general thing.... One should not leave a job unless they already have another. Future employers look at those already gainfully employed to those unemployed.

If one need to change the municipality- he or she need to quite the job and try to find another one in another municipality. In this case???Beep_Boop wrote:Not necessarily, no.infoseeker wrote:Do I lose my resident permit, if I do like that?s

It depends. If the new municipality is relatively close by, I don't see a reason why job hunting wouldn't work from the original municipality.infoseeker wrote:If one need to change the municipality- he or she need to quite the job and try to find another one in another municipality. In this case???
