Attention artists, graphic designers, illustrators, and other creative members!! . needs a new logo and it's up to our talented members to design one!!

The deadline is December 8th. At that time, the finalists will be chosen and all the members get to vote on the final design!!

Here is some important info about the logo competition...

- Logo must be submitted in electronic form in either Photoshop, Illustrator or Paint Shop Pro formats (or another professional design program that uses layers). No GIFs, JPGs, TIFs etc.
- Logo must be static, no animated logos or Flash
- Logo should be as large as possible, preferrably at least 1600 pixels in width and height.
- Logo should be submitted with a transparent background but will most likely be used on a pure white background.
- Logo should preferrably fit into a recantagular box where the width is longer than the height OR can be square....but we're open for other ideas.

COLORS & FONT
- Logo should have one primary color which is blue (#006699 is preferrable) and one or two secondary colors. Various shades of blue are very welcome and greys are welcome. We are also open to other ideas.
- Any fonts can be used be please try and avoid obscure, funky, or rare fonts. If font is not a normal font, please include the TTF file along with the design. If you're using a weird Mac font, please submit the PC version of it.

WRITING
- The characters: '.' should be the only writing on the logo and is mandatory. Do not include "Internation English Speakers Association of Finland" or any other text.

EDITING
- Designers must be willing to work with the . web development team if any modifications/changes/additions/subtractions are suggested. The web development team will NOT just edit your design without working with you.

DUE DATE
- THe due date is 8th of December, 2003 at noon.
- Submit all entries to: [email protected] - or file is to large for e-mail, you are welcome to use ZIP compression or contact Phil Schwarzmann and we can discuss how to submit it.
- You can submit as many designs as you like!

WINNER
- The moderators will choose top designs (including the existing logo) and then the members will then have the opportunity to vote on the design.

Please note: We're monitoring IP addresses. Any attempt to tamper with the results will have their accounts suspended. We can easily identify any users who create multiple accounts.

Sounds like something an evil communist or socialist would do Phil, really monitoring IP addresses.

Seems evil socialists are everywhere these days.

Bush definitely isn't a socialist and he's REALLY doing alot of monitoring lately

I really wouldn't even call it "monitoring" either, all I need to do is click a button and see who's been creating multiple accounts.

, but don't put too big a burdon on my already overladen (broad'ish) shoulders, there are also plenty of other talented designers out there! BUT in between work and Nokiagame I will find some quality time to produce a stunning new image for this stunning (not so new) forum, which we shall hopefully see appearing on all good desktops soon!

Jep I'm looking forward to seeing them all. As a man of no artistic talent, it will be of interest to me to see what our creative brethren can come up with

The question is:
Is it evil approved?
Does it have enough Trotskyite overtones to get Phil's blood racing. Personally I'd like at least one star, a sickle and well one air brush picture of Karl Marx would be a bonus.

Additional note/tip to designers: Landscape Logo's will fit the system better than portrait ones...
