Australia Day 26.1.2004 Painobaari

Post by mof » Wed Dec 24, 2003 3:38 am

Hi,

Received this invite in the mail so I thought I would forward this to
interested parties in .:

G'day,
If anyone is interested there will be an Australia day
party at the Painobaari (Sanomatalo).
Unfortunately Australia day (26 of January) is a
monday this year, but at least that made it easy to
get a bar to let us in. The party or social gathering
will be starting between 6 and 7 so you have time to
get there from work. The idea is basically to have a
get together and a few beers. If anyone needs any
further details on how to get there please drop me an email.

Hope you all have a great chrissy and an inebriated
new year.

Please post or email me mofATbeer.com to get a feel for the numbers.

Br,

MOF

Update to Australia Day Schedule.

start the Australia day
festivities at around 5.30 in Ilta Koulu
The reason for this choice is that Ilta koulu is a
slightly larger bar, the beers are cheaper and there
is a sauna at the bar.

You can find the
bar on Vaasankatu in Sörinainen, it is about 50m from
the Sörinainen metro station. If anyone needs more
information then I will email out a map.

The continuing on to

Painobaari and/or the Dubliner.

Give some feedback if you would like to attend...

Do you have to be Australian to come out?

Yummy lamingtons!! ;)

Oh that reminds me, do any of your Aussists need a stock up of vegemite or English muffins or something from OZ? I can take small orders and bring it with me if you're desperate for something!

OK...

Australia day is upon us !!! Yeah

Anyway 2 things.

1) it is kicking off 17:30 @ Ilta Koulu. You can find the bar on Vaasankatu in Sörinainen, it is about 50m from the Sörinainen metro station.
I'll be online most of the night so I will check the board if there are questions.

2) where can I get some . flyers ?

Cheers for organising the evening.

Home early for me, last time I went out I stayed out waaaaayyy too late and was not in the good books for some time. Funny thing was my Father-in-law did the same thing the following week.

Let's see if I can remember some names....a little game I play with myself to improve my memory.

Roy
Will & Janiker
Nilli (was it?)
Jack & Sonja (was it Sonja?)
Stu (or Stew?)
Justin
Anita
Andrew
Markus
Martin & Tuula
Mr Side-burns student from NZ (sorry, didn't catch your name  )

Cheers,
Poe

Ahhh so you weren't there for the singing of the national anthem? I think a few of the other patrons in the bar were a little confused.
