Post by kitten » Fri Jul 18, 2008 8:24 am

I am looking for a kitten for our family. We just would like a normal cat, no special breed etc. Can anybody advice me where to find one? Thank you!

I believe we found Mulder from a farm in Järvenpää that had listed kittens in Keltainen Pörssi. He cost €40 three years ago and is worth every bit of it.

Search for "kissanpennut" to find kittens.

Where are you located ? Two female cats are given away for free here :

The cats are in Vantaa. They are about two years old and they have not been castrated.

Here's a beautiful 14 week old girl kitten, and I think it's free, you should give them a ring.

There are some questionable people who keep "kitten factories", producing kittens just for sale. Therefore, i would recommend rescue cats from HESY (I got a cat from there). You cannot call, but have to go there by yourself (it in Lansi-Pakila, Western Pakila). .

They charge for the cats, but the payment includes all the recommended vaccinations, microchip and deneutering.

Kittens are high in demand, but consider also a young adult. Cats stay as kittens quite a short time....

Are you stupid or what? free cats come by "mistake" and there is no "breeding" or other !"#¤%. Learn to read.
There is more than enough kittens in finland. I personally have killed 30+ because no one wanted.

Onkko, i believe your understanding of English has some serious shortcomings. 'Free' is not a synonym to 'for sale'.

If you do not have anything to contribute, you can just shut up.

he/she said "just want a cat, no special breed etc" and that ruled out your "kitten factories". And there is no point to breed something else because normal cats are free and widely awailable.

To op, just put your local paper that you want a free kitten and i think you find plenty.
Those bastards breed fast atleast in countryside, could be different in cities.
If local paper wont help put advert online in place like huuto.net or so.
Killing kittens isnt fun so i think you find your cat fast :)
