Spring is in the air ..but..this is Finland.

The weather forecast for the next 10 days looks very pleasant.
But be warned Finland's weather is in-famous for what is called Takatalvi..
Winter often sneaks back for one last bite.(or two)
Look at the chart for the next 10 days.. but make note of the "expected minimum temp" ..notice it sneaks down to minus 9C ..Thurs/Friday..but we are promised lots of Sun.

It's a tradition to have snow at Vappu, 1st of may. Last year day before Vappu i remember arriving back to Finland on Superfast VII, and waking up to strange noise just to see from window that ship is sailing on ice. Outside temperature was -1c. It was especially painfull welcoming as i left Netherlands day before on sunny +23c.

Right... I'm supposed to be going away for easter weekend.

PeterF, Kemars.... how much will it cost me for you to put the winter tyres back on (thus guaranteeing pleasant weather)?

well, technically the tires I am putting on are considered mud/snow tires in the US, so i still technically have winter tires still on.. just no studs are present, so STEER CLEAR of a BLACK FORD THUNDERBIRD if its snowing.. ;)
