T'was on the 2nd of April 2000,
that a fresh faced and much younger guy landed at Turku ready to start a "different" phase in life.

Today folks I have been here for four years!!!!!!

Initially I gave myself two years to check things out, and here I still am today!!

March 29th 2000, England, tee shirts and jeans.

April 2nd 2000 Lohja, making a hole in the ice for water.

So hello everyone,

keep sticking at it, it does get marginally easier.

Toodle pip

John :D

N.B. Must take off rose tinted spectacles at the end of the day!

Yes I guess it is,
when I moved here I wanted to give it a decent try, and I'm not one to give up easily, the language is the real sticking point as I find it pretty hard to learn Finnish, having been on courses and attended night classes.

Finland is a pretty great place if you like the great outdoors, and we are lucky to live in a friendly village, with supportive neighbours which really helps.

Just have to knuckle down to learning Finnish !!!!!!

Se on vaikea kieli, Englanti on tosi helppo, puhutko sä Englantia ? (w.h.)

I'll be here six years in June. I am starting a new job in Nokia on April 19th, so I guess I'll have a few more anniversaries :-)
