Easter Services in Turku

Post by mvgrogan » Sun Apr 10, 2011 9:15 pm

The Turku Cathedral International Congregation (TCIC) holds weekly Lutheran/Anglican services in English in the Tarkk’ampuja Chapel, at the Cathedral at 4pm on Sundays. The third Sunday of the month is always the Anglican Service and the last Sunday of the month is always the Family service, held at Aurelia, Aurakatu 18 (on the left, up the hill towards the Art Gallery).

You are very welcome to join us, if you wish, for any service but the next 2 Sundays are very special Sundays in the Christian Calendar.

On Palm Sunday (next Sunday) 17th April, we have an interactive Passion Play featuring all the congregation (some in "the crowd") starting with a procession into the service. Children may also come to this procession before Junior Church in Dom Cafe (normally Junior Church is a completely seperate service). Please arrive by 3.50pm

On Easter Sunday 24th April, as it is the last Sunday of the month, our service is at Aurelia and starts at 3pm with a party for the children, followed by the family service at 4pm. After the Easter Service, we will be sharing a meal (normally we just have coffee!).

For more information about the congregation, please PM me or have a look here: http://www.turunseurakunnat.fi/portal/e ... gregation/
