Now this... is from the time before Fingerpori. But the style is already there. A masterpiece

[Coarse flour] F*cking flick that wrist, bitch!
[Semi-coarse flour] Yeah, dammit!

Hahaa, i absolutely agree!
I have seen it before but didn't know it was from the same guy. I love how his mind works, he is a sick and twisted individual in the best possible way.
My favourite Fingerpori strip is the one where the Nazi officer yells 'Tämä on silkkaa fasismia!' after being told he is not allowed to smoke.
The emokarhu one is also excellent.

Works in English too. "Would you mind cleaning the cat droppings?"
"By the pricking of my thumbs,
Something wicked this way comes."

Would "coarse flour" and "semi-coarse flour" work for the one I last posted?

...although it's a bit more difficult to come up with a translation for what the bag of coarse flour says :) You might need to leave out "muna" and focus on wrist movements...

Okay. I give up. The only two meanings I can see is

1) ..against the air-conditioning system (vastaan as a postposition)
2) I am responsible for the air-conditioning system. (vastata the verb)

Not very funny.... :?

[Edit: Just saw orbik's answer. Now I get it!) :)

No siis jos noi lauteissa olevat tummat täplät ei ole oksankohtia niin... mitä ne sitten on?

It's a bit far-fetched, but disgusting

Either the artist goes to public saunas or he owns a cat.
As he persisted, I was obliged to tootle him gently at first and then, seeing no improvement, to trumpet him vigorously with my horn.

mustis = mustasukkainen = "black socked" = jealous
...which opens like one of those Russian dolls. Black-socked only makes sense when you know that it comes from Swedish svartsjuk, "black-sick", meaning jealous. Swedish has analogous words like avundsjuk, envious (envy sick). They become nouns by putting "a" on the end, for svartsjuka(n) and avundsjuka(n).

So the Finnish is half-translation, svart->musta, and half echoic, sjuka->sukka, changing part-of-speech in the process so that -isuus is needed to make mustasukka into a noun again -- at least the kind of noun that refers to a state of mind.

But is that the innermost doll? Envy and jealously are old, old concepts. I don't know how old these particular words are, but look at German with its Eifersucht (envy) and eifersüchtig, Sehnsucht (longing, yearning), and I would imagine others as well. So did ancient Swedes spontaneously come up with the notion that envy and jealousy are sicknesses or were they, in their turn, merely echoing a German word? I don't know much German, beyond some intermediate reading ability retained from high school and college, but I've always assumed that -sucht comes from suchen, to seek, thus having nothing to do with sickness. Some sources give "addiction" as a definition of Sucht by itself, but to me with only my smidgen of German, that sounds very modern, maybe even slang.
As he persisted, I was obliged to tootle him gently at first and then, seeing no improvement, to trumpet him vigorously with my horn.
