Sorry about this. This may be an idiotic question, or else these words may really have two different meanings.
Between my English-Finnish dictionary and a glossary from Finland's tax guide I have come up with these words:
myyntivoitto: capital gains
luovutusvoitto: capital gains
myynti: sales
liikevaihto: sales
Are these meanings the same, or do they have different connotations?

luovutusvoitto =capital gains
myynti = sales
If you want a Finnish/English glossary of accounting terms a good book is:
Kijanpitkolaki ja asetus (Accounting act and Ordinance) it is in three languages Finnish/English and Swedish and as it is a legal document is very accurate.
It is not expensive..about 30€ and can be bought by mail order from KHT Media Helsinki...
