Many foreigners find Finnish harsh sounding and monotonous. They think that we speak like robots. Sandra Gallina ( an interpteter by profession ) has a different opinion :

Now we must not forget the versatility of Finnish verbs.

For example "käydä"

Now please follow the logic...

Poika käy koulussa.
Mies käy baarissa.
-but
Pullo käy kellarissa.
-also
Nainen käy tupakalla.
Mies käy kaljalla.
then explain:
Auto käy bensalla.
-after that extrapolate:
Mies käy paskalla.
Cheers, Hank W.
