They are discussing the Meripioneerit children´s songs! "Pioneerit" arrange summer camp activities for kids and they were popular in the 70´s, some are still around today. `Communism for Kids´ is available at least in Raisio as far as I know.
I have a good friend who went to Pioneeri-camps when she was younger. Check out this children´s song:

Some other songs are `Who murdered the birds of Vietnam´, `You ask WHY, my friend´ and `The song of the black soldier´. Kaj Chydenius composed most of them.

I'd never heard of these "Sea Pioneers" (were they a sort of sea cadet Scouts?).
Certainly sounds like a commie organization from their song.

Do that. I did not know of this before my friend told me some years ago. Im not sure if it was a Helsinki-thing or what. But it was really common amongst art people, the peace movement (who was not part of the peace movement in hippy 70´s?), leftists (who was not a leftist in the 70´s?). Kind of Agit Prop/Vanhan Valtaus for kids.... part of finnish cultural history. Anni Sinnemäki, Aleksi Bardy and the Melasniemis were all pioneeris. Linus Torvalds, too.... maybe that influenced his open source ideology. Im pretty sure it didnt influence Kimi Räikkönen .
