YKI - ylin taso

Post by ruusu25 » Mon Jan 08, 2018 9:02 pm

Is anyone here familiar with the ylin taso of the YKI test? If so, would you be willing to give a rough idea of its structure and the types of questions asked?

Would finding these exercises easy mean one would find the test easy? https://yle.fi/aihe/artikkeli/2015/12/15/ylin-taso-0

I got a feel from that, yes. Some friends who have taken the keskitaso mentioned that they felt the types of questions they received diverged somewhat from the online description. Figured I'd ask to see what kinds of experiences people have had with this one.

Not sure it is helpful: I once discussed the different levels with one of the dudes who correct the tests. He assured me, that while you can do a LOT wrong in the keskitaso, and still pass, that is not the case in the ylin taso. He said you have to be pretty solid in grammar, orthography, etc. as would be expected from a C2 level. Not sure he told me that simply because I was flabbergasted by what is (not) required to become a fully voting citizen, though.
