Hello guys,
could somebody recommend a good teacher for private Finnish lessons? In Helsinki area. I would like to break my block to speak. Thanks!

I took classes with Gimara Oy (group settings ) I found it better than a lot of schools. Give it a shot, I think they have private lessons, and it is online.

Cheers :beer_yum:

italki.com has a couple of options for private Skype lessons at a reasonable rate.

Hi!
You can get lessons and training in spoken Finnish for free in many Helsinki area public libraries. Many libraries arrange language cafes on weekly basis. That will be language training in a group setting

No enrollment required, just walk in, take a cup of coffee or tea and start exercising your oral Finnish.
- - Today, Wednesday, there's a Finnish language cafe at 2 PM in Helsinki at Pasila Library - there will also be a language cafe on Mondays at 2 PM.

My first teacher I found via the university: https://www.helsinki.fi/en/cooperation/ ... foreigners. He had his own company, and after doing 1 set via University, I switched to being billed (much less) by himself. So that would be a way, I guess. Then there is the site https://www.yksityisopetus.fi/ where you find all kinds of teachers. I teach languages, too, and do the same procedure when they come from that site, as I did with the Finnish teachers. We meet once for free, where they explain their goals, and schedules. The levels are extremely different, so it is good if you have an idea what you are looking for.

italki is expensive compared to local, or even more so, other skype lessons. I tried it once, and was quite underwhelmed. But it is certainly different depending on the teacher.
