Hei
Anyone recommend a good (online) or paper general purpose technical Finnish - English - Finnish dictionary?
I have a good forest industry dictionary, but I'd need something in the mechanical engineering direction...
Preferably something that doesn't cost billions of Euros

I have an English - Finnish - English graphic technical dictionary.
It's from Brossco Multimedia Oy (
http://www.brossco.fi).
I don't know what kind of other dictionaries they have, but you can always give it a try...
This book was € 39.

I've got a paper copy of a Finnish - English IT dictionary, if that's any good to you, Gavin?
It wouldn't take five minutes to throw it through a photocopier.

The technical dictionary from Talvitie
http://www.jkttietoteos.fi/sanakirjat.htm
is the most used, I guess. It is worth the 45 e, or otherwise any library has it. I haven't heard yet of a good on-line technical dictionary .

I have the TEKNIIKAN SUOMI JA KAUPAN ENGLANTI SANAKIRJA at work by WSOY. I have opened it once (today) and think im not ready for words like tieltäsuistumisonnettomuus = driving off the road/ loss of controll.
