Hey Hank,
looking for some help off of you you sent me a list of truck driving jobs from the Mol site, but when i tried to get my self i could'n't?
So first i went to mol.fi
then i got toAvoimet tyopaikat
but were do you type this in?
Kuorma-auto ja erityisajoneuvoyhdistelmien kulj.
I need a fresh list because i will be there in two weeks!
Kiitos.
I sent 44 e-mails to companys hope to hear back from them, truck companys and shiping companys, found the e-mail addresses in a book that i got in the airport in Helsinki in Feb. and only fount it again today.
Half of them i have sent cv to before, but the rest are new.
Regards everyone, hope this also helps other people looking here.

Ahhh - you need a longer path Tony

1. http://www.mol.fi
2. AVOIMET TYÖPAIKAT
3. Työpaikkatietojen katselu
4. KULJETUS- JA LIIKENNETYÖ (transport & traffic)
5. TIELIIKENNETYÖ (road traffic work)
6.Kuorma-auton- ja erityisajoneuvoyhdistelmien kulj.
(the other options there are #1) cab&bus and #3) messenger/delivery and the last one is always 'miscellaneous' )
Cheers, Hank W.

suzy wrote::D Hi everyone! I like this forum, it seems that te members are very friendly. I am just wondering if you could give me some information on the working condition of nurses in Finland. Do hospitals hire foreign nurses there? I'd really appreciate some information thank you very much.
They are looking for an English speaking nurse in Tampere.

Hello all, We currently reside in the USA. We're just about sick of just about everything here. My husband and I both drive tractor trailers for a living. Any idea how we can get info on some companies there whom are hiring drivers? And any idea what all we would have to do to get a drivers license there? Here it's a class A cdl i understand it is different there. Thanks a bunch for your help!

1. Thread is 13 years old... but I guess it's related, so
2. The license is the easy part, cough up the cash (a lot of it). But you don't seem to realise that you can't work here unless you have a residence permit.
3. To get a residence permit you need a reason - you can't just move to Finland because you're sick of the USA (although I do empathise). The three main "reasons" you can get a permit are family, work or study. You don't mention having been accepted to university here, so that's out. You don't mention that your child or spouse already lives here, so that's out. That leaves work, ie, you have been offered a permanent job in Finland.
4. You can't be offered a job here unless the employer can demonstrate that nobody in the entire EU is able to fill the job. To my knowledge driving (anything) is not a specialist position, and I would guess there are thousands of rural workers across the EU who'd take such a job and already by default have permission to live and work in Finland.

Sorry... you're going to need to do some homework and find another reason for Finland to accept you as an immigrant, which probably involves a qualification or a successful internet-based company with good income history that can move countries without being affected. Start with www.migri.fi for the guidelines on residence permits.

On the other hand if you have money, just buy citizenship from Malta.
