Lids lad's got bottle

Post by Slothrop » Fri Nov 14, 2003 12:06 am

More fun and games emanating from Elland Road. I wondered how long it'd be before the Old Bill found something on young Alan.

Will this scupper his chances of a go-round with the Danes?

Hope so, I particularly dislike Smith 8) I Hope when Leeds go down no one buys him and he has to play in the 1st division for most of his career :!: However in this case I think its just a case of West Yorkshire Police being extra again.

He has been kicked out of the squad and sent home.

It seems he picked up a bottle thrown onto the pitch and threw it off the pitch....tidy lad...problem was it went into the crowd and hit a young girl.

This has been blow up out of proportion even for Leeds. Everyone saw it at the match or telly on the day (must be 2 weeks ago now)

The girl was a friend of someone who knew Smith, bizarrely, and they kissed and made up after the match.

Seems now she must have made a complaint, maybe she smelt money.

I agree with that. Smith deserves to get all that he gets. He's a pain in the äss player who typifies the miserable, chip-on-the-shoulder Yorkshire lot.

Good job for Smith we're not on the panel at his disciplinary eh  He'd be facing a 3 year ban and £60,000 fine or something :!:
