Eesti Herkut got a competitor in Kamppi

Postby enk » Sat May 05, 2007 4:15 pm

A new Estonian foodstore opened up on Lapinrinne in Kamppi. Has pretty
much the same canned, jarred goods, albeit it less selection but has a
completely different selection of meat and fish products (also has a good
selection of sweet and savoury pelmeni). Open 9-19 on weekdays on
Saturday 10-18 and on Sunday 12-18.

I'm mighty impressed with the polish sausage I'm eating right now
and was happy to find some of the stuff that Eesti Herkut doesn't have.

The joint's name is:

Eesti Wärk
Lapinrinne 2
00180 Helsinki

I have no idea. Do you know what brand you're looking for?

An interesting thing popped up related to this post about a month ago:
I discovered it had been copied wholesale to a couple of sites by
someone who wasn't me. Totally goofy .

Yeah that one. Sigh. Once I emailed the company and they said they were gonna begin selling in Helsinki, but I guess they haven't : (. What kinda things can I get at the store? any sweet stuff like desserts or puddings.

I guess I'll check it out soon :)

The usual sweet stuff, chocolates, candies, etc., plus cherry and
blueberry vareniki to boot. They also have juices and assorted
sweet milk products in addition to the other stuff.
