Seksi Lesson in the Translative case.

The translative case is quite common spoken Finnish and its case ending "ksi" when added to many words often result in the word ending "seksi"
But it can be quite boring and not at all Seksi!

TRANSLATIVE
The result of some transition or change of state, move into some new property of being, or the final result of an action.
The house burned to ashes
The snow melted into water
He became an engineer
She made the sculpture from a block of wood.

Definition
Translative case is a case indicating that the referent of the noun, or the quality of the adjective, that it marks is the result of a process of change.


Here are some examples of translative case:

The suffix -ksi indicates translative case, as in the following examples:

Naapurini tuli rikkaaksi 'my neighbor became rich'


suli vedeksi 'melted into water'

OK here is my effort....

Sex in the autumn makes one become happy, even become a bit sweaty, perhaps get tired, but generaly one is satisfied, unless nothing special looks likely to result from it, and it is put off until the next day!

That word..nyhjäämiseksi..is the tough one it is typical of many Finnish words that need a sentence in English to translate...Hank.. how do you read this?
