What kind of work do you have in there? Hope we can meet in person somewhere in Oulu when we visit in there on February.

So Tell then. God Bless.

Näkemiin! :)

Hello Mikaela,
sa NSN ako nag wowork, operation and logistics dept.
di ko pa na try na magenrol sa language school , medyo busy kasi sa work. inform mo lang ako pag padating ka na.
mas miss ko ang Taiwan kesa Pinas, lalo na ung beef noodles and chow tofu.

jcy,
try mo Manila-Hongkong-Helsinki, Cebu Pacific or PAL and Finnair. Kauuwi ko lang last summer, nag stay kami sa hongkong for 2 weeks and 9 days sa pinas. 590e/person lang ang plane tickets (Oulu-Helsinki-Hongkong-Manila), back and forth yan.

:) I am just curious: Why do you use so many English words? Is it some "young people" speech or does everybody do it?

engalog/tagalish (filipino + english words mixed)

i'm not sure why it's like that...my whole life i've heard tagalog being spoken mixed with english words. there's many spanish words incorporated into the language too...partly due to the Spaniards colonizing the Philippines. I guess this is also the reason as to why some English words have found their place in non formal conversations. The Philippines was a US colony for a bit...and the 2 official languages are Filipino and English.

would someone like to clarify this? I just really took a guess...

Hello po! I'm new in this forum and am glad to find posts from fellow Pinoys. Nandito pa po ako sa Pilipinas but have applied for a nursing job there in Finland. Medyo hesitant din po that's why I need your honest opinions. Anybody of you working in the medical (nursing) field out there? Ok po ba mag nurse sa Finland? How about its salary vs cost-of-living? Really need to hear from you since major decision din po ang mag move to a new country. Thanks in advance for the replies! :)

jb,

Tentatively this Feb. 2. I will probably taking Finnair via Bangkok since the place that I am currently staying is near to Thailand.
