Finnish class for advanced students at Caisa, starts 28.1.

I was asked to post this here, I don't personally know any more of this class than what I have translated below, but you'll find contact info at the bottom of the post, so direct your questions to Ms. Olga Lappi, if interested.

Basically:
-no fee.
-good skills in Finnish required: directed to people who have taken all kinds of Finnish classes alreary, but need help with written Finnish and grammar.

Tervetuloa suomen kielen kurssillemme!
Edistyneille suomen opiskelijoille tarkoitetulla kurssilla keskitytään
ensisijaisesti kirjoitetun ja puhutun suomen eroihin. Kurssilla
harjoitellaan erilaisten, vaativien tekstien kirjoittamista ja lukemista
sekä esiin nousevia kielioppiasioita.

Opiskelijoilla on itsekin mahdollisuus esittää toiveita ja vaikuttaa
kurssin sisältöön. Kurssin ohjaajat ovat Helsingin yliopiston suomen
kielen laitoksen opiskelijoita. Kurssi on ilmainen.

Ensimmäinen tapaaminen keskiviikkona 28.1.2004 klo 16.30 Kulttuurikeskus
Caisassa, kokoushuone 2.
Ilmoittautuminen: olga.lappi@helsinki.fi

Kiitos, ainakin menen sinne, koska olen juuri silloin Helsingissä.
Katsotaan minkälainen kurssi se on.

How did you manage that? for me it's more like the opposite, I can read and write (well sort of) but I'm much further behind in speaking... and speaking fluently seems like an impossible target...

I never had a lesson... learnt Finnish in Ausrtalia from talking so the textual side never came... I've been wanting to learn but now can't attent the usual lessons and I'm too advanced for the rest of the class... Adult reading/writing lessons is non-existant in this country so this will be ideal...
