how long it it wil take the work resident

Hello every body....
I have apply for the work permit it has been 5 months but i have not get any response from the police. when i call them then they just said i have to wait and wait i don't know how long i have to wait for the work permit. what should i do ? i call to tampera labour office but they said they have send all my documents to ulkoma virostoo or something in Helsinki... when my employer call there then they said i have to wait. I am worried about it ...
what should i do and where i consult......

As stated on the web page, those are Migri processing times; his application went at least initially through police processing. It is possible though after a number of months at the police office the case is forwarded to Migri.

how long i have to wait, do any body have idea.... so that i can prepare for something...As waiting and and waiting is making me crazy....

It has been forwarded to the migri, or labour office sent the papers to wrong address:

or they misspoke on phone, but right, I missed that. Optimistically, no matter how much time it took at the police first, if the papers are now by Migri the statistics would seem to indicate that the processing time after that would not be terribly long. Assuming of course all the papers are like authorities would want them to be.
