Well, it is up to the owner of the land.

And then there is a small thing about heating... and water...

Of course all land is owned. If its not owned by a private person, then maybe a logging company or its a state forest. Basically state forests then have nature protection areas & so forth. The everyman's right makes a difference with going vs. camping & making fire. Usually you are required to stick to designated camping grounds and firepits.

And I was also thinking about June and the mosquitoes...

I suggest you go to Lappland and then when you come back about 10 liters lighter the next day we'll discuss the presence of mosquitoes in northern climates again.

What kind of mosquitos are they?? Jesus Christ!! I'm not racist but I prefer black mosquitos like we have here. Those white ones just look like they're on crack or something. Ok...Lappland is out of the picture now!

Thanks. lmfao.

Oh, the black ones that burrow into the skin? Yeah, we have them too. Actually, Lappland has more of those, these white ones are down south more abundant. Depends on the year.

Was trying to call you to offer a place to your tent on our backyard (and no need to wash in joki you can freely use the garden hose for hygiene purposes) but number seems to be unallocated.

I'd worry more about the mooseflies. The mosquitos are annoying, and I've never seen swarms like they have in Lappland, but the mooseflies are extremely painful. My wife had a run in with one once. They hook into you and try to lay their eggs under the skin. Very painful.
If you want to catch beasts you don't see every day,
You have to go places quite out-of-the-way.
You have to places no other can get to.
You have to get cold and you have to get wet, too.

eeeeek! The whole idea of something laying its eggs into my skin creeps me out more than anything.... :?
