Hello kb2000. Welcome to the board.

I hate to break it to you, but it has already been definitively proven on another thread that it is impossible to get exciting and interesting food in Finland, because of the lack of decent chillis in Citymarket.

If you are walking through a Finnish town and you spot an Indian restaurant then you should increase your medication because you are hallucinating.

Cheers
Niall

PS I once saw (a strictly imaginary of course) food shop on Hämentie in Hakaniemi where they sell lots of eastern produce, they might have some inside information on movies.

There is also the "India Centre" travel agency who might be able to point you in the right direction:
Intia-Keskus Yrjönkatu 8-10, 00120 Helsinki

Hi kb200,

Yes I can I live above an Indian grocery shop that also sells Bollywood movies it is called "Indian Market" and is across from the Kauppahalli on Hakaniementori, if you are on the square just look for the building with the "Anna"-sign and walk towards it, you can't miss it.

Happy shopping :)

Yeah, I do - good guess. :-) My husband also likes to cook Indian food himself and there are a couple of small grocery shops in Helsinki where you can buy spices and pastes, and rice in huge but cheap sacks.

I think Indian food's become more popular in Finland in the past couple of years so maybe you'll have an Indian restaurant in Vaasa one day. :)
