Anyone moving to Finland from the UK & wants to share costs?

Hi,

I am planning to move to Finland from the UK possibly in September. I am trying to find out the best way to do this and was wondering if anybody else is doing the same and would like to share costs?

I am not moving any furniture, only boxes of personal belongings. I am not yet sure of the final number of boxes but it won't be an awful lot. Is anybody moving a large quantity of items and has a little bit of space in their lorry for example?

I've requested quotes from several removal firms too. Any other suggestions gladly received

I looked at a few options and have decided to move ~ 10 boxes .5 x .5 x .5 m and 250 kg total by Interparcel.

Cost is around £260 + VAT collected from the door.

Feh, trying to get a quote the other way is impossible. Finns always get screwed :twisted:

Though when I get rich enough to afford a place I can fit my books and DVDs in I can afford to take a van and come get my furniture as well.

I will be doing a return trip from finland to uk and back again in september, with a van and trailer.

If you know the sizes, number of boxes and what it is you are wanting moved then i may be able to help.

I was about to post an ad for the return journey (the trailer will be able to fit a car on it) but i can also take boxes inside the towing van.

Let me know and we can work out a price.
