Re: Please help me
Have you also arranged the health insurance? That is also very crucial? And then from the school you applied originally a fresh confirmation letter?

You need €500,-/months. How can your father supply that amount for the 4 years your study takes?samurai wrote:My father has government job and his salary is 270 euros per month.
You have to come up with a better plan than living on your fathers salary.
And don't count on finding a job here. The odds are against it.
It is totally unrealistic to try based on that income. So, yes they'll refuse if you bring your fathers salary into the picture.Do you think immigration may refuse seeing such a low amount of salary?
Re: Please help me
Actually my father and brother jointly own a shope and their monthly income is around 700 euros. But I wonder whether to mention shop as a source of my father's income or not.
Because when I applied for permit first time, they gave me a questionaire to fill out and in that I wrote my fathers source of income only government job, I didn't mentioned earning through shop that's why I afraid what if they check my previous application and see that I hadn't mentioned earning through shop in my first application but when I am reapplying I am mentioning government job and store as a source of income.
That's the story about my case, Please tell me what to do? Shall I mention earning through my father's government job and shop also in the questionare this time or not?

Re: Please help me
Since you were refused before due to the reason that you "do not have secure means of support", then I think it would be a good idea to mention your father's other source of income.
Did you apply before directly at the embassy? Coz I did my application online the first week of August 2012 and supposed to be just go to the embassy for biometrics. But then the embassy also let me answer in writing a lot of questions about my financial information which I think is unnecessary as I already did the online application directly to the Finnish immigration. And as per instruction, I am just to have biometrics at the embassy and show original documents. But maybe because I am from a third world country and I declared the 6000 as personal savings, it might have raised suspicion as it is pretty much uncommon for my age (24) to have that savings in my country.
But I think I had just justified the sources of that amount, and during that time I was just earning about 300-400 euros after tax per month which was the one that I declared under salary for current employment. So perhaps the salaries and figures doesn't really matter but might be helpful to show evidence of how we came up with the 6k.
And if you do the online application, it can be possible for you to get the result in 2-3 weeks at the embassy. (Well, depending on the number applications on queue).
Anyway, do you have a link of the health insurance for 80 euros? I might as well try that when I renew my residence permit a few months from now (if it is legit) as my current insurance is more than 3 times that amount for a year period.

Re: Please help me
That looks more like ordinary travel insurance. What you need is a student's health insurance.

What an immigrant is dealing with is not just legislation , but a real person on the other end of the paperwork.samurai wrote:I didn't use e-service but this time I will use.
If you do everything efficiently like using the FIN provided service(it was made for such purpose) , then the person on the other end says "Applicant No2222222 has done a very efficient job at presenting the facts. I wont throw them in the pile that needs to be looked at closer to understand it correctly.

OK, so what does the small print say in that? Does it cover resident healthcare as in you are "living in some country for a year"? Usually health insurances cover only "tourism" for 3 months at a time. You need to get a health insurance that covers resident healthcare - and better still if its off the "approved list". Otherwise you get your papers looked into with a big magnifying glass.samurai wrote:I didn't use e-service but this time I will use.

Re: Please help me
Yeah, you need to invest on a more expensive insurance. You don't wanna be denied this time or perhaps be requested to buy a new insurance because you got the wrong health insurance. As mentioned on the links provided above, the Marsh SIP would make it easy for Migri to verify.
Re: Please help me
migri has no problem with insurance from universal insurance company. My friends got student residence permit with the same insurance which worths rs.10,000.
for more info you can see Universal health coverage by country http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Universal_ ... by_country
So, I have no problem with the insurance and it covers residence health care for 1 year. Suggestion regarding how to apply this time would be appreciated.
Thanks

The packages negotiated
These packages are primarily for non EU/EEA students but can be bought by EU students if they wish to have private health insurance during their stay in Finland. These were negotiated with MARSH/SIP.
There are two basic packages available:
1. SIP Integral
For students who will not have access to the student or national health care system here in Finland due to their length of study or type of institution (students staying in Finland less than 2 years and/or studying at a University of Applied Science). Please note that this restriction does not apply to Seinäjoki UAS and Lappeenranta UAS.
2. SIP Compliment
For students who have access to the student or national health care system here in Finland because they attend a University (student system) or they are covered by the national health system through obtaining a ‘home municipality right’ (meaning their studies are considered to be 2 years or more).
The costs of these two products:
SIP Integral: €1.18/day or €431/356 days (1 year) - this insurance can be purchased by the day with a minimum of €25 coverage plus an admin fee of €3.50.
SIP Compliment: €0.71/day or €260/365 days (1 year) - this insurance can be purchased by the day with a minimum of €25 coverage plus an admin fee of €3.50.
Please note: Once the €25 mount has been reached, you can purchase as many or as few days as you will need. BUT remember a residence permit cannot be issued for a period longer than the period of the insurance cover.
It is hard to believe that your insurance which costs only 20% from what Migri considers adequate will be accepted. Especially since your insurance website gives no details about what is covered. (very suspicious)migri has no problem with insurance from universal insurance company. My friends got student residence permit with the same insurance which worths rs.10,000.

That Wikipedia link is about universal health care meaning public healh caresamurai wrote:for more info you can see Universal health coverage by country http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Universal_ ... by_country
It tells absolutely nothing about insurance company called "The Universal Insurance Company Limited"
Re: Please help me
i had the same problem in Russia,Every-time i went there i was paying an Average $200AUD for mandatory insurance. My wife found me a Russian based insurance of the same cover for $60AUD(coverage of total travel period). It was cheap and nasty and maybe i would have been left to pay the bills if something happened but it worked to get the entry visa.Although it was a Russian company for a Russian visa so was an easy decision.
Re: Please help me
Okay, if you say so...
For applying, just apply with all the required documents and that wouldn't give you any problem. There is even a folder for supplementary documents on the e-services if you think additional documents would be helpful aside from the basic required ones.
I had read another student's case wherein he was denied for his first application due to funds too, but the difference is he didn't file an appeal. He just submitted another application upon fixing the funds problem and he was then granted a permit. So, we cannot say if your previous application or your on-going appeal will affect your future application. But if you are really determined to come here, there is no harm in trying a new application. It is just a matter of luck sometimes. If after 5 applications and you still didn't get a permit, then perhaps Finland is not for you
