I can show you hundreds of Pakistanis in Finland having health insurance claiming 30,000 euros for 1 year which is obtained by the same UNIVERSAL INSURANCE COMPANY with Rs.10,000=75.98 euros

It is hard to believe that your insurance which costs only 20% from what Migri considers adequate will be accepted. Especially since your insurance website gives no details about what is covered. (very suspicious)
15. Mandatory Schengen Travel Insurance Accredited Insurance Companies

http://www.diplomatie.be/islamabad/defa ... =28&mnu=28

see the number 10. Insurance company

Still suspicious?

However it is not Embassy of Finland in Pakistan, because it is closed from March 2012 but there was mentioned the name of that insurance company in their website as well.

OK, so what does the small print say in that? Does it cover resident healthcare as in you are "living in some country for a year"? Usually health insurances cover only "tourism" for 3 months at a time. You need to get a health insurance that covers resident healthcare - and better still if its off the "approved list". Otherwise you get your papers looked into with a big magnifying glass.

OK, just to be sure you don't get bummed by a technicality. Usually if things sound too good they are.

I want to have your suggestion for submission of documents.

Shall I only submit my bank statement and academic documents while applying for student residence permit? Or Shall I submit the documents of origin of fund along with required documents?

However, migri asks for only bank statement on the name of student and academic documents, but I am asking this question because last time I submitted required documents as said by migri and later on they asked me to send origin of fund. Once I send them the origin of fund they didn't get satisfied with that and rejected my student residence permit.

My origin of fund is earning through my fathers government job and a shop which is run by my brother and father both but registration of that shop is on my brother's name. Moreover, my father has 7 shops having value more than 30,000 euros at present.

The documents for the origin of fund are
, my father's bank statement showing 6000 euros transferred to my account and 2000 euros will be left in my father's bank statment ,father's pay slips, father's tax certificate, father's employment card, father's national identity card, valuation certificate of 7 shops on my father's name, An affidavit on my father and brother's name declaring that they will support me for entire period of studies in finland by earning through shop and government job, proof of shop as tax certificate which on my brother's name, copy of my brother's national identity card.
Now, my question is whether to submit the documents of origin of fund at the time of uploading documents in online application and submitting application at the embassy?

Your suggestion will would very much appreciated please reply.

The best example for you to do is to pretend you are from an awesome country and that when people try to move there a % of the people that do legally enter begin a campaign of taking and giving nothing back , maybe they do give something but its not back to the hand that feeds them.

Picture yourself as the document checker for migri.
Your job responsibility is to pass over documents and label them either-
"Document meets satisfactory requirements"=pass
or
" Document does not support the requirements= more documentation needed=failure to provide supporting documents"= failure
Now go through your documents and find the weak areas.

Hi samurai,

I hope this reply can help, because I'm from a "high risk" coutry (Vietnam) too.

When I applied for my first student RP in 2010, I just sent the Finnish embassy a bank statement that said I have 8000e in my account. I didn't say anything about the origin of the money, because obviously I wasn't able to earn that much money back then. My RP came to me 3 weeks later.

I don't think that stating where the money comes from is such an important thing, because the application doesn't request for it. Since you have already said that it's from your dad's job which pays 270e/month, the reason for RP denial might have been your dad's too low income to cover your living expenses. Even if you submit documents about the shop, it's still not gonna be enough (700e/month for your dad and bro).

In case you get your RP and come to Finland, you will need to have another 6000e in your FINNISH bank account to renew the permit. Don't borrow from your friends, don't try to fool the police, otherwise you'd get kicked out forever.

To be honest, living with 6000e in Finland is quite impossible for me and other friends of mine. During three years of my studies, I spent around 800e/month, excluding the flight tickets home. If you have to constantly think about finding a job (I'm not talking about a good one that pays thousands of euros here but ones such as cleaning, newspaper delivering etc. that pay less than 200e/month), if you don't have enough money for warm clothes and food, if you have to share a tiny room with two other people, life is going to be a real hell on earth here.

How many years will you study in Finland? Where will you study? If you think about finding a job, Helsinki area is much better than other small cities. A lot of students also found strawberry and bean picking jobs during summer in Lahti, if I remember correctly. Though I got a job from my uni that pays 35e/h during my studies, not everyone is as lucky. Good luck and I hope you'll get enough financial support to win your RP :).
