I found out only recently that there is a "Immigrants Advice Center" in Myyrmäki.
They even have Finnish Language courses.
3rd Floor of the old shopping center (same building as Nordea bank and S Market).
Not the main shopping center.
The locals call it "Iso Myyri"
People do not become more irritable as they grow old - they simply stop making the effort to avoid annoying others.

Hi everyone! I made a map of all the places I needed to visit when I moved to Turku/Åbo: http://goo.gl/maps/NOJsC. I suppose it won't have everything for everyone -- it's missing stuff for non-EU citizens in particular -- but it should be useful at least. And if you're moving to somewhere else in Finland then you'll still need to visit the same organisations (e.g. tax office, police etc.), and my advice on the map about paperwork will mostly still apply.

My main piece of advice is that all these registrations and paperwork will take AT LEAST 2-3 *WHOLE WORKING DAYS* to do, probably longer. The map has a load of other tips about exactly when different places are open (and not open!), and what you need to take with you to each appointment, that sort of thing.

Please let me know if there are any improvements I could make to the map :)
