I dunno, and to think I didn't qualify for a film translator... TSK!!

To be honest, those examples are not only hilarious but bad... Must admit. However, subtitling is often not quite what it seems - you are in hurry and may only have a crammy text in front of you (never even see the stuff on screen) plus you are VERY limited by the amount of text you can fit on the screen... Needless to say you can't drag a few lines behind...

But yeah, doesn't really justify those mistakes on Crazy Moose... I must admit it drives me potty when I spot such mistakes and they are pretty common. Equally, it is very enjoyable to see near perfect subtitles - there are some excellent translators out there, too. ER's Anita Paajanen-Mannila, for example, is God's gift to subtitles...

Rider charges up to some infantrymen:
"To the breach!" ("Rannalle!")

(Finnish reads to the beach.)
