She had henkilötunnus. When she arrived here, in a few days she got henkilötunnus, bank account + card from Nordea. Then she got kela card also. After a while we wanted to open another account to other bank. Then we couldn't. Because she already had one account. And she didn't lie about it. Btw, she doesn't have an id card. She was using her passport as id card. I think it should be an issue.

Just sounds like bank number two didn´t want her as a customer, has nothing to do with how many banks/accounts you have in total.

It doesn't work like this. There are fees involved while withdrawing money from an ATM out of Finland. Mostly it's a fixed fee of 2-3 euros plus some percentage of the money withdrawn. So not really a cheap option.

I too recommend Transferwise. It takes about 2 days, try this out on your next transfer, first transaction is free with referral and regular fees apply for subsequent transfers. But the rates they offer are the best so far and almost same as in xe.com . Best thing is they are transparent about the fees and no hidden charges. I was using bank to bank before always less, not the rates they display. But with transferwise things are so different. check this video http://www.reuters.com/video/2013/10/11 ... =274112893

Has anybody used this Transferwise recently? I wonder if it is completely legal thing to do?

I mean, would the Finnish tax authorities interfere on this?

Best money transfer service to India, I have found so far is transferwise. I have been using this for sometime already.
https://transferwise.com/en

If you pay using your debit card money arrive in Indian account withing 5-6 hours (on working days). If you send me your email using a personal message.
I could send you transferwise invitation and you will get first transfer for free.
