Finnish cooking in America

Hello, I'm a third generation Finn with a question. My mom makes a soup with milk, potatoes and kielbasa. For the life of me I cannot spell it properly. I know that it starts with Maito but the rest is lost.
We say it as: mitta bootwa
I'm looking to see if anyone knows the proper spelling of the dish.

Could it be just a maitokeitto, milk soup? Maitokeittova could be how some old Finn says it in his/her dialect.

'Maitohuttua'? But if its late 19th century colloquial they used varied namings across the country, so what they call potato soup in one place can be apple porridge in another.

It could be either of those. It's something we've both been trying to figure out for the longest time, and with how dialects are it is a challenge to figure it out. Thank you for your help!
Could any of you possibly help with another type of dish? All my mother can remember is that it is a milk and rice base dish. Kinda of like a rice pudding, but runnier. You would often put fruit in it. Her mother would make it all the time when she was a child and it's something I want to try.
Does anyone know of any websites that have traditional Finnish cooking? I know that based on location it can change, but that's not a bug deal for me. I've been wanting to get more in touch with m FInnish heritage.

Ah, its the stuff at christmas. You make a rice porridge, and a "sekametelisoppa" to go with. Porridge is also good with blueberry soup. And if you mix the blueberries, well...

I think the only problem is to find "porridge-rice" like the foreigners had finding "unclebens" rice back in the day

Martat (a home economy association) has some traditional recipes. That is with the search for old traditonal foods, they have a lot of other recipes, to. A lot of traditional recipes aren't really done anymore.
