Searching for a Finnish poem or lullaby

Post by JohnGrey » Sun Feb 15, 2015 2:23 am

Hello, I'm hoping that someone can answer a question or at least point me in the right direction. My SO is of Finnish descent and she recalls a poem or lullaby about a mother that wishes to knit mittens for her child, so she asks a ewe for some wool, offering her bread in return. I've had no luck searching for it myself, and have no idea if it's a traditional folk piece or something modern. I would really love to find it for her, to work it into a gift sometime in the future. Any assistance would be very much appreciated.

You could give the "ask a librarian" service a try.
