:D

The importance of pronunciation in Finnish is overlooked in teaching. Or at least was, when I took my courses. Finnish is one of the most phonetic languages tehre is, and these differences are pretty clear to native ears. For foreigners, not so much, even for those of us who have spoken the language for more than 10 years. Proper pronunciation and ability to distinguish the subtle nuances between words will fasten a student's comprehension and even how natives react to the person (eg. changing to english rather quickly.)
