OLE_TY1 or OLE_TY5

Post by downvalley » Sat Feb 13, 2016 7:06 pm

Hello,

I graduated last year from a Finnish educational institution and got A residence permit for one year. Now I have to apply for extension (most probably they issue: 4 years A permit this time).

What application form should I use? OLE_TY1 or OLE_TY5?

Any experience?

Thanks in advance.

Migri is quite clear that you should use the same one as you used last year (and it's probably TY1).
You didn't say what your last permit was based on... I doubt it was based on study but I included the link anyway... they all say the same thing.

OLE_TY5 assuming the current permit is based on work.

All study permits are B so since the OP said he's on a A permit we can exclude study.

Hi,

From my experience, I think it would be better if you go to the police station and ask them which form to be used.

I am in the process of changing from B permit to A permit, and was advised by Migri to go to Police station as they are the one who will be processing the permit. The staff in the police station give me the right form after i told them my situation.
