Post by myray » Wed Jan 11, 2017 4:22 pm

Hi all, does anyone know what sections of the language test (yki-testi) are obligatory to pass? My friend has passed three sections on three different sittings but didn't pass the puhuminen.Could he combine these three and submit as part of his application?
Thank you for your suggestions in advance.

You need to have at least a skill level three on one of the following subtest combinations: The combination can be achieved in 2 sitting.

Speaking (3) and writing (3)
OR

Listening comprehension (3) and writing (3)
OR

Reading comprehension (3) and speaking (3)

Yes. If he has skill level 3 on the ones he "passed", then yes he's good to go. He can combine puheen ymmärtäminen and kirjoittaminen from two different certificates.
Every case is unique. You can't measure the result of your application based on arbitrary anecdotes online.
