Almost time for annual haircut

Post by harryc » Sun Aug 06, 2017 8:56 pm

Where are the 10€ joints just now in PK area?

There are previous threads but these places open and close like morning glories.

Also when some guy learns how NOT to cut off ears, the price goes up.

2000FT, that is about 0,75% of highly skilled worker's monthly salary there.
3400€ is the number for Finland from same source (tradingeconomics.com). Times 0,75% and 25€ would be price for decent haircut here.

It means that you pay roughly the same for haircut in Budapest and here (if you are local): a bit under 1% of your monthly income.

Right - but if I'm in Budapest I can still get a haircut there without showing my Hungarian pay slip :D

And as an aside - haircuts in Finland could be a LOT cheaper without all the pretense . That's where the Iraqis here have offered a simple, asiallinen job. Hell's fire - all that's happening is you're coming away with less than you went in with :) .

Just wait until the chinese shops come to FI, there are a lot of them in southern europe, womans haircut 7 eu, then the ridiculousy high Fi prices will decrease.

Or you can get yourself an electric hairclipper for 20eu, I bought my first one in 1997 and haven't looked back since, saved probably 1000s of eu

Of course. But I wouldn't compare the haircut € for €.

Agreed. Buzzcut should be 10€, imho. But if you start to use scissors and use all kinds of goos in the hair... 25 sounds nice.

I won't hold my breath. Woman's haircut takes ages. Fiver won't pay you a lot of time even from a Chinese barber (who pays 400 rent twice a month).

Women at 7€ is surely out of the question

But 10€ for men in low-rent area is surely possible. Maybe cheaper if you bring your own bowl :D

Or not even the 20€ for the clippers, just don't cut your hair any more, after a few years you only need a normal pair of kitchen scissors and cut of the last few cm. warmer in winter too :ochesey:

That depends a lot on what needs to be done. With long hair, just cutting the ends a few centimeters costing 80+€... made me take up Piet's advice a while ago. :) Wannabe-pro-tip: invest around 20€ in sharp hairdresser scissors. ;)
