Hi everyone,
I am 2nd year non-EU student and living in Finland now with residence permit type B. I tend to open the private trader (Toiminimi) which mainly work with kinds of news, information, media and it's online job. But I have a few questions. Will working on Toiminimi affect to the student's right to work (25h/week), that means the work wont take too much time and I also want to have part-time job? And as I read from the forum, I'll lose the benefits of student if own TOiminimi?
Thank you so much.
Part-time job if open Toiminimi
Re: Part-time job if open Toiminimi
What benefits would you lose? I suppose you don't get any, unless we count subsided housing and meals, maybe transport. Usually the lost benefits are housing allowance and grants...Julijuli wrote: ↑Thu Jul 12, 2018 6:24 pmHi everyone,

I'd start by asking around in your school, many has support for budding entrepreneurs. Then maybe opiskelijayrittajuus.fi/viesti/

Re: Part-time job if open Toiminimi
You will not lose your student benefits but you have to fit it to 25h/week limit, though I have no idea how you will calculate that with your own toiminimi.
If you have enough potential for your work (money wise) you can go for Type A visa, which gives you much more benefits such as KELA aids and even starttiraha (you have to apply for that before company and you are not allowed to work on anything else). Changing to Type A visa doesn't change anything to your student status.

Find and Replace Visa with Residence Permit.
