I am selling my home (55m2 apartment in Töölö, near Töölöntori) and I got a recommendation from a friend for a real estate agent who was awarded 2018 Agent of the Year in Helsinki (she sold his home also).
The agent recommended that I sell my home via “tarjouskori”, which means that we advertise a starting price and buyers have 5-8 days to put in private bids, like in an auction. She says it is the best way to get a good price quickly (I am leaving Finland in 1-2 months).
I have told her my minimum price that I will accept (it is kept private) and there’s no obligation to accept any of the bids.
It sounds a bit strange to me but I should trust her, given her experience and reputation.
But does anybody here have bad experiences with the tarjouskori system?
