Just received my positive decision , one thing for sure ..they took their sweet time with me almost 9 months including +5 months of processing time ..I guess patience is the key ... all the best for the the ones still waiting

Hi Victor my app is also in progress from last 3 month but I haven't been ask to submit any thing its been 11 months since I applied but still waiting so did they ask you any supplement request when you were in progress during 5 months?? Thanks

2 of my colleagues applied in June 2019. Their application entered stage 2 last week. They are asked to supplement their application.

Awesome, good to know that migri is at least doing something with citizenship applications. I applied in April, still waiting on stage 1. Seems unfair that they focus on more recent applications.

Do u guys think it is worth contacting migri by sending email to migri@migri.fi? Just to ask when processing is expected to begin...
I'm now at 1st stage, has been over 7 month

I already did. They say wait patiently, expected processing time is 11-12 months. But still restlessness brings me here in this forum.

Okay, thought so.. When I applied they said max 7 months, now one year, feels quite unfair, I don't understand how it has become so slower when they introduce automated system to processing of citizenship...

Hey everyone, i just got my Finnish citizenship last week. it took over 9 months and 13 days. I applied for the passport and it came yesterday but it is valid for a year is there any reason for that? I am 27 years old. Has anyone had the same experience?

It might be because you need to take the mandatory military exercise.
You should have applied for pp after the completion of military exercise.
Contact poliisi they will guide you further.

Not worth mailing them cx you will get the same reply every time.
You guys should keep your application updated though. Since in that case there is highly likely that you wont be asked for supplements which happened in my case.

Hi, cool, I did not think to add small 2 to 5 day trips to my home country, also inside eu throughout my stay here of 8 years, and I wouldn't remember all of them anyway, even though application form requires to add kaikki matkat and lyhyt matkat... Do they care about small trips?

Hi, cool, I did not think to add small 2 to 5 day trips to my home country, also inside eu throughout my stay here of 8 years, and I wouldn't remember all of them anyway, even though application form requires to add kaikki matkat and lyhyt matkat... Do they care about small trips?

They do not really care about small trips within eu.
Ofcourse no body remembers all the trips he had done.
I listed only which were stamped on my passport plus the ones I did within eu which I had info through e.g email.

Yeah, my stamps are hard to read, and I did not list trips in eu, like those of 4 days or something, because I had few and they were some sort of holiday, and often I went by car with someone, so did not really have tickets..and went maybe 3 to 4 times a year, I hope no one asks me to put all of those
