Ilmaisukoulu Tuike (Expressive Art School) offers theatre courses all over Helsinki. We are just about to start two English-speaking groups in Viikki nuorisotalo (youth center) for children in the age group 9-11 and 12-14 years. The group does basic drama exercises, and plays and expressed together. Through theatre games and play scenes, we learn interaction, working in a group and everyone's personal expression is supported. Through different theatre games, we start to experiment with different roles in familiar situations and stories. We improvise scenes and explore how the story progresses, where the beginning ends and the end begins, why conflicts are necessary and how characters act.
Welcome all English-speaking children of appropriate age! No need to be native English-speaker.
